- Avoid food with high glycemic index
Usually carbohydrate rich food have high glycemic index. Carbohydrate rich food contain starch which breaks down into simple sugar by the activity of salivary amylase secreated by salivary gland present at the side of our mouth. These amylase breaks it into sugar for human consumption. That is why we feel a sugary /sweet taste when eating a carbohydrate rich diet (example – potato). Whereas whole food carbohydrate can be eaten safely as it contain low glycemic index.

If you are looking to lower your blood sugar level, you must perform any time of exercise or yogic poses to mantain a healthy body. Various exercises help you to do so.
